Bonobo has just unveiled a new music video, and it’s about as avant-garde as you might expect. Hot on the heels of Migration, the British DJ and producer’s 12-track album that came out on January 13th, he’s released the official video for “No Reason” featuring Nick Murphy.

“No Reason” ecapsulates Bonobo’s soothing iteration of the four-four formula in a manner that elegantly frames Murphy’s somber vocals. In the video, the viewer travels through a sequence of Japanese rooms that get smaller and smaller – but are inhabited by similarly sized people.

Bonobo is the artist project of Simon Green, who has also performed solo under the moniker Mr Blue and together with Robert Luis from Tru Thoughts as Nirobi and Barakas. Migration has been in the making since 2014, when Green was touring across the US and produced track #8 on the effort, “Kerala.”

Time will tell whether or not Bonobo will release official music videos for more of Migration‘s track list. In the meantime, the album can be previewed and purchased in MP3, CD or vinyl record form here.
